UVC LED Flexi-Strip 270-280NM to Sterilise & Disinfect
UVC light is proven to help kill a significant proportion (99%) of known bacteria and germs. We have two versions, using UVC3535 chips. The strip is being embodied in Air Conditioning Units and various other locations.
What is UVC Light ?
UV-C light is germicidal, in other words, it deactivates the DNA of bacteria, virus and other pathogens and thus destroys their ability to multiply and cause disease. Specifically, UV-C light causes damage to the nucleic acid of microorganisms by forming covalent bonds between certain adjacent bases in the DNA. Its wavelength is between 270-280nm and its effectiveness is utilised in the form of sterilising and disinfection.
Is it safe to use ?
Yes, but with care. UVC light is harmful to the naked eye of both humans and animals and it must not be exposed to plant life either.
UVC LED Flexi strip
It is primarily used by commercial and OEM outfits who will manufacture or install it in devices for applications which demand a UVC light source. It’s able to be used in operating temperatures from -20°C up to +40°C. Strict control is naturally taken to ensure it’s supplied to clientele who understand and accept how it is to be used. Where is it Used ?
Our UVC strip is being used by a wide range of clientele. A prime sector is for use inside Air Conditioning Units. We supply on 5M reels and it’s easy to cut into certain lengths. A popular unit in the market place is 700mm long, so from a 5M reel, 7 units can be upgraded. It’s easy to install and whilst the strip itself is not waterproof, (the chips cannot be covered or they would be ineffective) the white coloured PCB board is beautifully minimalist. The main aim of the coating is to protect the circuit components but with it having a shiny finish it not only looks good but is easier to clean. When asked the majority of our customers like this finish and the overall versatility of our UVC LED Strip. For higher volume projects we can also supply in customised lengths, so for example if anyone wanted 100pcs of a 700mm size, they could be pre-made like that.
